Taping & Strapping
The Taping & Strapping is a 2-day course that takes place along a weekend or two days, to allow participants to develop their understanding and skills on both techniques.
The course is a comprehensive introduction to Taping & Strapping, which will include:
- Principles of taping and strapping
- Application of techniques to different soft tissue injuries
-Different types of tape, materials used and latest research
-Practical application of techniques
There are no entry requirements for this course. although a sound knowledge of anatomy and physiology is recommended.
This course is ideal for sports massage therapists, personal trainers, coaches and enyone involved in sports health and rehabilitation.
First Aid Certificate
The level 3 award in first aid at work is aimed
at individuals working within industries where
they are solely responsible for others
(e.g. personal trainer or coach).
The course is also suitable for individuals with designated first aider responsibilities.
This level 3 qualification meets HSE standards and is nationally recognised by HSE and
relates to the QCF framework. The qualification is valid for 3 years.
There are 15 key modules, which include: CPR, dealing with choking adults
(unconscious and conscious), wounds and bleeding and minor burns and scalds.
Upon completion of this qualification, you will receive a card which allows you to
inform others that you are a first aider, and a certificate valid for 3 years of the award date.
- Multiple choice exam
- Formal assessment including primary and secondary survey as well as CPR and recovery - Ongoing assessment for managing bleeding, fractures, dislocations and foreign objects.
